Micromax has once again added another device to their ever growing collection of devices. This time, it is adding a tablet to the list. The said device is the Indian tech firm’s 4G calling tablet that called the Micromax Canvas Tab P702.


The tab, which is the company’s first 4G tablet, comes with a 7-inch HD IPS display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. According to Tech Vorm, the tab will be running the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS on a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek MT8735 processor; which is said to be a highly integrated LTE SoC that has advanced features like LTE cat.4.

The Canvas Tab P702 comes with a RAM of 2GB and an internal storage of 16GB which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It comes preloaded with the Opera Max for browsing options plus seven free eBooks on Kindle which normally costs 1,500 INR.

It also has the Firstouch OS which enables users to have an Android smartphone experience in ten regional languages. Micromax’s latest tab also has DTS sound dual box speakers which the company claims to provide the user a “theatre like” experience when watching movies or listening to music.

Fone Arena adds that the dual-SIM enabled tab is powered by a 3000mAh battery. It sports a 5 megapixel rear shooter with autofocus and LED flash. It also comes with a 2 megapixel front facing shooter. It supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS in terms of connectivity options.

Meanwhile Indian Express reports that Micromax Informatics CMO Shubhajit Sen said that “With the launch of Canvas Tab P702, our first 4G enabled tablet, we are bringing in a large screen 4G connected device which delivers superior features promising seamless multi-tasking and non-stop entertainment on-the go. P702 is being launched with a vision to improve the lower penetration of the tablet form factor in India.”

Meanwhile, Phone Arena also reports that Snapdeal Vice President of Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives, Tony Navin, said that devices from Micromax are hugely popular with their consumers because of their great features. Because of this, the company is excited to launch their first ever 4G calling tablet, the Micromax Canvas Tab P702, exclusively on their online site.

Navin also said that they are “confident that the power packed features of the tablet combined with the frictionless shopping experience on Snapdeal will make the Micromax Canvas Tab P702 a favourite among our customers across the country.”

The Micromax Canvas Tab P702 is exclusively available on Snapdeal for 7,999 INR. It comes with two color variants to choose from which are bold black and classy white. Each purchase of the tab also comes with an OTG cable and earphones.
