Xiaomi, the popular Chinese smartphone maker, is also engaged in other tech products or accessories such as power banks. In fact, the company is not relatively new in that field as it currently has produced a total of three models in the past. Their latest model, the Mi Powerbank Pro, rounds up the total to 4 as Xiaomi launches another great product.
Like the name suggests, the newest power bank will be an upgrade to an existing large capacity power banks that are currently available in the market. Like its predecessors, the latest power bank from the Chinese smartphone maker is also made out of aluminium and has a similar design in terms of looks, reports GizmoChina.
The accessory which weighs 223 grams has a body dimension of 128.5 x 75 x 12.6mm. It comes with a total of nine layers of circuit protection to make sure that the device is safe when it is plugged in for charging.
Digital trends adds that the new Xiaomi Mi Powerbank Pro has a 10,000 mAh battery capacity. It supports fast charging with 5V/2A, 9V/2A, and 12V/1.5A configurations. This enables the power bank to be able to get charged so quickly that Xiaomi claims it can go from empty to full battery life in just three and a half hours.
This fact itself, according to Xiaomi, makes it 40 percent faster than using a regular 5V/2A charger. It could be recalled that the company also has a power bank with the same battery capacity however; Powerbank Pro is 40 percent thinner than that older unit. The latest accessory from Xiaomi also has a similar LED light indicators which lets the user know how much charge is left.
Mi Powerbank Pro is also equipped with a USB type-c connector port which allows the consumer to use the power bank to charge up their Xiaomi devices like Mi 5 and other devices that are compatible with the connector port such as the Nexus 5X and 6P, OnePlus 2 and even Apples svelte MacBook. It also features a regular USB port for charging other devices that doesn’t use the type-c connector.
The latest power bank by Xiaomi is currently available for 149 CNY or $22 USD. Unfortunately there is no indication whether it will be made available outside China, but who knows. Keep your fingers crossed!
