A Men In Black/Jump Street crossover may definitely be a go, as discovered through the Sony hack that occurred in late 2014. Although the news comes from a less reliable source, Sony has made the crossover official. A director has already been lodged for the upcoming film! So what do we know about comedic pairs’ crossover at present?
It was first revealed by Variety that the Men In Black/Jump Street takeover has been made official. Shortly, it was revealed that original lead actors Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones would not be reprising their roles in the upcoming film. However, two younger males in black suits will replace them.
A director has also been lodged for the franchise. James Bobin, who also directed “Alice Through the Looking Glass” and “The Muppets,” will take over the film after Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s exits, reports Forbes.
In other news, The Verge reveals that Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, the original actors who portray the leads in the Jump Street franchise, will reprise their roles in the Men In Black/Jump Street crossover.
Furthermore, Rodney Rothman was also reported to have already passed a script to Sony. Production is set for June this year. At present, the plot for the said film has not yet been revealed despite the fact that the director, lead actors, and producers are already on board. However, given that they have already confirmed their participation, does this mean that the film is already lodged to happen?
