Marc Gasol has been cleared to return to the Memphis Grizzlies though he is expected to be on restricted minutes. While that is good news for the Memphis Grizzlies, would the team consider a trade involving the all-star center?
Marc Gasol is coming of a foot injury though there is no doubt that he remains to be one of the best big men in the NBA. Seeing him dealt to other teams is not impossible though it would depend who the Memphis Grizzlies get in return.
Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried trade plausible?
The Denver Nuggets could make use of a big man in the mix and Marc Gasol could amply fill in. They hold the rights to perhaps one of the best NBA guards of the future plus some other talented players. That includes Danilo Gallinari and Gary Harris which makes the Nuggets pretty formidable.
For the Memphis Grizzlies, everyone knows how the team needs to invest in young players. But would it be at the expense of sacrificing one of the league’s established big men?
Why not Zach Randolph?
Should Gasol be dealt, it begs to ask if Zach Randolph can keep the fort up all by his lonesome. If he was perhaps younger, it may be possible. But the guy is 35 which may not necessarily be reasonable.
The problem for the Memphis Grizzlies is that Randolph may not be enough to get new players in the mix. Gasol is still the better bait though it seems uncanny to dangle the 31-year-old Spaniard right now.

The Nuggets stand to benefit from a Marc Gasol coming but somehow the Memphis Grizzlies may not. Chandler could end up as a backup considering head coach David Fizdale has Tony Allen, Vince Carter and new recruit Chandler Parsons in his rotation.
Faried could make sense though he is a far cry from what Gasol brings. The only advantage is that the Memphis Grizzlies get two players for one. But somehow the potential NBA trade carries some questions.
