Donald Trump and the American journalist Megyn Kelly had a nasty feud at a Fox News debate last year. This year, the former attorney and news pundit will have another chance for a one on one interview with the presidential hopeful Trump. Many believe this is an opportunity for Megyn and Trump to end their feud.
As stated by Hollywood Life, the news regarding the face-to-face interview surfaced after Megyn met the Republican candidate for President of the United States 2016 election at the Trump Tower.
Page Six claimed the political commentator on the Fox News Channel spent an hour with Trump and deliberated about having the GOP presidential candidate to appear with her on a TV special. The one on one interview is slated for Kelly’s special, which airs on Fox News Channel on May 17.
On Monday, as reported by NY Times, Megyn said in a statement, “Mr. Trump and I sat down together for a meeting earlier this month at my request. Trump was gracious with his time and I asked the presidential candidate to consider an interview. I am happy to announce Trump agreed, and I look forward to a fascinating exchange — our first sit-down interview together in nearly a year.”
The interview is bound to be interesting, indeed It can be remembered a feud between Trump and Kelly erupted when the Fox News anchor subjected Trump to an intense questioning during the first GOP presidential debate about Trump’s offensive comments regarding women.
Kelly said, “You’ve called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs,’ ‘dogs,’ ‘slobs’ and ‘disgusting animals.’” Kelly added, “Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?” Trump fired back, “Honestly, Megyn, if you don’t like it, I’m sorry . . . “I’ve been very nice to you, although I could probably not be, based on the way you have treated me.”
It remains to be seen if Kelly will subject Trump in a difficult interview again.
