Meet The Two Royals Beating Kate Middleton’s Fashion [Photos]
The Duchess of Cambridge is not the most fashionable royal if the recent poll of 30,000 people by UK’s Hello! Online is anything to go by. Kate Middleton is not even the second most fashionable royal according to the poll. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is number one and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands is number two. Princess Kate has only landed at number three out of the ten royals listed based on the poll.
Crown Princess Mary of Denmark
Hello! described Princess Mary’s fashion as something “appropriate” but still edgy. “Mary radiates the confidence of a woman who knows what works for her,” Hello! said. The princess is said to be fond of floral designs and tailored suits.
Princess Mary is currently the patron of the Designer’s Nest Show and Award, Hello! said in its report. She is also patron of the Danish Cancer Society and had launched a skin cancer prevention campaign in 2007.
Princess Mary is married to Crown Prince Frederik. The couple has four children namely Princess Josephine, Prince Christian, Crown Princess Mary and Prince Vincent.
Queen Maxima of the Netherlands
The number two royal in the list is fond of bold and colorful dresses, Hello! said. Forty-four year-old Queen Maxima of the Netherlands “has a tremendous sense of fun with her sartorial choices and is known to step out in wide-brimmed hats, loud patterns and eye-catching accessories,” as per Hello!
The queen is married to King Willem-Alexander. On April 30, she became the first Dutch queen consort since 1890.
Kate Middleton fashion
The Duchess of Cambridge may have landed at number three but she is the most followed royal in terms of fashion. A lot of fashion blogs were dedicated to her, such as the Kate Middleton Style website. The site prides itself as “A blog helping you copy Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge’s Style.” Glamour on the other hand has dedicated a page for Princess Kate. The page has “every look from the Duchess of Cambridge’s royal fashion portfolio.” There is also the website called What Kate Wore which prides itself as “the go-to source on Kate’s style for fans, fashion writers, trend watchers.”
