Matt Reeves To Produce Political Thriller ‘Spring Offensive’

Matt Reeves is all set to produce “Spring Offensive,” a political thriller. Fox has acquired the rights for the script made by Matthew McInerney-Lacombe. Reeves will be co-producing the flick.


According to Variety, “Spring Offensive” is a female-driven thriller. It’s a smart political thriller where the female character takes the lead. The title of the film hints back to the Arab Spring protests between 2010 and 2012.

The plot of the movie is still under wraps. Reeves is currently busy with “War for the Planet of the Apes,” another project by Fox. The production of the Apes movie is on. The movie will not hit theaters before July 2017, though.

Reeves was previously part of “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” The movie grossed $710 million. He signed a 3-year deal with Fox following the movie. While Matt Reeves was not available for comments, we can still understand that he will play an important part in the project, “Spring Offensive.”
