Marvel: Spider-Man Homecoming Set Visit Confirmed, Embargo lift Dates?
The upcoming “Spider-Man Homecoming” movie is currently trending among Comic Book Movie fans. Recently, Actress Zendaya was also over the internet as she was confirmed by a credible source to play as Mary Jane. While Marvel Studios remained tight lipped, it looks like they’re finally ready to share some details.Advertisement
Recently, it was confirmed that a lucky few journalists were invited for”Spider-Man Homecoming” set visit. While the dates remain unknown, a tweet from the Editor-in-Chief of Birth.Movies.Death confirmed his invitation earlier on Sunday.
Devin Faraci tweeted that he’s “going to the SPIDER-MAN set.” Check it out below. Currently, it is unsure if Marvel Studios has an embargo on the journalists visiting the set.
Earlier, Warner Bros. also invited selected Journalists to their set in London for Justice League. Fortunately, the reporters weren’t on an embargo and were allowed to share detailed description of their visit and also confirm few cast members.
If Marvel Studios decides to lift the Embargo right after their visit, it is possible for the production team to officially announce Zendaya as Mary Jane for Spider-Man Homecoming.
James Gunn also shared his opinion on the recent news on Zendaya playing Mary Jane. The guardians of the galaxy director focused his message on the audience that complained about the ethnicity of the fictional character.
James Gunn wrote on his official Facebook page, “Yesterday, a rumor broke out that the character of Mary Jane was being played by a young black woman, Zendaya, and all hell broke out on the Internet (again). I tweeted that if people find themselves complaining about Mary Jane’s ethnicity they have lives that are too good.”
“Spider-Man Homecoming” is currently under direction by Jon Watts. Marvel Studios will be releasing the movie on July 7th, 2017.
