Surprise announcements are always a treat to be remembered at SDCC. This time, Marvel’s Daredevil TV series was one of them.


The long awaited renewal for Daredevil series was finally confirmed. The announcement took place at the same stage of Luke Cage’s panel along with Iron Fist and Defenders, as Joe Quesada officially confirmed Daredevil season 3.

Marvel Entertainment took it to Twitter to post a short teaser footage of Hell’s Kitchen Subway station from the series. Check out the feed below. For now, it has been confirmed that Daredevil season 3 is coming, but its exact release date is still unknown at this point.

No details have been revealed by far for Daredevil season 3. According to The Verge, It was earlier confirmed that Frank The Punisher from season 2 had been moved to his own TV series.

Meanwhile, Hot Toys also revealed its new action figure for Daredevil at the side show collectibles booth at SDCC 2016. Check it out on the feed below.

While Daredevil’s season 3 release date remains a mystery, the upcoming Luke Cage could keep the MCU fans engaged. Furthermore, both Daredevil and Jessica Jones have been delayed due to ongoing production of Defenders TV series that will come out in 2017.

Fans are more excited about Defenders as it’s the first miniseries crossover, containing all of MCU’s Netflix superheroes. The show is already being compared to the likes of Avengers movie.

In other news, Marvel fans can look forward to the Civil War II panel on Friday. Attendees can go to Room 6DE and listen to Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso, Marc Guggenheim and other personalities.
