Maisie Williams Would Love To Be Cast As Wolfsbane In ‘New Mutants’

Screen Rant reported that three young stars are being considered for roles in Fox’s New Mutant adaptation. This was right after Simon Kinberg revealed that the adaptation will have a young adult vibe. One of these young stars is rumored to be Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams.
In their interview, Entertainment Weekly revealed that Williams is interested in the role. She was promoting the sixth season of Game of Thrones when she answered their questions. Williams admitted that she would love to be a part of the movie and part of the Marvel family.
She went on about how incredible New Mutants looks and how she absolutely loves spin-offs; she even complimented the film’s director Joshua Boone, casually telling them to sign her up for the role.
Although she gave no clear answers if wants the role, it seems that Williams knows New Mutants in depth, which could mean she is updated with the film’s development. It seems appropriate for Maisie Williams play Wolfsbane due to the fact that her Game of Thrones character Arya Stark has a history with wolves.
Aside from the film’s director and writer, most of the details about New Mutants are just rumors yet to be confirmed. New Mutants will be part of 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise along with other stand-alone movies like Deadpool. Fox has already expressed their desire to make more spin-offs based on the main X-Men franchise, after the success of Deadpool in the box office, and with New Mutants being part of the first wave.
