Lyft Aims To Improve Service Through Express Re-Route; Labor Day Discounts Ahead
Lyft, Inc. has figured out a way to improve their service using a little algorithm work. What this means is that even if you are already expecting a ride, once you have requested a Lyft Line, Lyft will still continue to find another passenger who has a route that works with yours better. And should this happen, Lyft will give you an Express Re-route.
You will know that you have been re-rerouted because Lyft will send you a text message that says, “We just updated your ride to a more efficient route.” It may pick you up around the same time, but the fact that you have just been re-routed means that you will spend less time traveling in the car.
BuzzFeed reports that the Express Re-Route feature for Lyft Line was actually rolled out without much buzz. But company spokeswoman, Katie Dally, has said that the company hopes to be quick and efficient when it comes to service.
Recently, Lyft also announced that customers are entitled to $5 off two rides when they ride to or from certain airports till Labor Day. Discount on two rides is guaranteed if you are headed to or coming from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Burbank Bob Hope Airport, Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma Count Airport, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Dallas Love Field, Denver International Airport, Indianapolis International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, Memphis International Airport, Nashville International Airport, Oakland International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Pittsburgh International Airport, Portland International Airport, Ronald Reagan National Airport, San Diego International Airport, San Francisco International Airport, Santa Ana John Wayne Airport, Santa Barbara Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport.
