The 31-year-old German bioethics researcher and her 32-year-old husband who is second-in-line to the Luxembourg throne announced that they were expecting another royal baby via an official statement on Monday.
“Their royal highnesses the Grand-Duke and Grand-Duchess of Luxembourg are very pleased to announce that Prince Félix and Princess Claire are expecting their second child. The birth is expected to take place in autumn,” read the statement. Claire and Felix now have a two-year-old daughter, Amalia.
They released a series of official portraits to celebrate the joyous occasion, Luremburger Wort reports. The pictures showed how quickly their little girl was growing up.
In the stunning photoshoot, Claire as well as Felix was casually dressed. The star of the pictures was no doubt the little one. Amalia wears a floral dress and white tights in the picture as she looks at the camera.
One which melted the hearts of royal fans worldwide was little Amalia staring lovingly up at her proud father Félix as he and Claire were beaming with joy. Claire and Felix are live at the Chateau Les Crostes, a winery that is Claire’s family home for many years. The winery is located in the south of France.
Félix is the second son of Grand Duke Henri and the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. He and Claire met at boarding school and announced their engagement in December 2012 and married in September 2013. They had a civil wedding in Konigstein im Taunus followed by a religious ceremony a few days later in the Basillica of Sainte Marie-Madeleine in Sainte-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, France.
