What's This?

When will Windows 10 hit other Lumia handsets? The whole world is wondering. Microsoft is still not sure about it, so there is no fixed date yet. A Lumia Windows 10 update was supposed to hit phones last month. Things didn’t work out, and the update was pushed to 2016. Will it finally release this month?

The latest rumors suggest that Microsoft may start rolling out Lumia Windows 10 on January 12. As reported earlier, Vodafone Australia and Movistar Spain have spoken about the release. Whereas Vodafone Australia is expecting the release by mid-January, Movistar Spain says the Windows 10 mobile update may roll out by the end of this month.

When one of the Lumia users asked Microsoft on Twitter about the rolling out of Windows 10, @LumiaHelp replied, “Windows 10 Mobile will become available soon.” When asked about the exact date, @LumiaHelp said, “We can’t confirm the exact release date of Windows 10. Best to regularly check your local support page for announcements.” Chances say come January 12, the Lumia Windows 10 update may roll out. Not all regions and countries will get it, though. Microsoft may test it on a few devices, or in a smaller market first, and then release it on other eligible Lumia phones.

Why January 12? Because some people in the industry believe that Microsoft is going to make a few announcements on this day. The company may also launch the mid-range yet high-end phone Lumia 850. This being the day of announcements and other noteworthy activities, experts believe a Lumia Windows 10 update will finally hit existing Lumia smartphones.
