With people raging about the picture quality of Lumia 950 XL, it was only natural before someone attempted to compare it with the best smartphone camera currently occupying the market – the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. A YouTuber has pitted the two smartphone giants – Lumia 950 XL vs Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge – to see who hasthe better camera.

While earlier, there would have been no doubts Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge would beat any smartphone’s camera by a landslide, Lumia 950 XL seems to be clearly holding its own, as show in the video.

JerryRigEverything has made a side-by-side comparison of both Lumia 950 XL and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and even though Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is still pretty unbeatable when it comes to camera features, there are certain aspects in which Lumia 950 XL enjoys the upper hand, reports WinBeta. The video takes into account a number of advanced camera features such as digital stabilization, slow motion video, ability to focus and color contrast. So who wins?

According to MSPowerUser, here are two of the points that make Lumia 950 XL a tough competitor:

  • It has a better saturation of color than its rival, which makes the pictures appear more soothing to the eye.
  • Digital Stabilization is another feature where it scores major brownie points, for this is a feature that is completely absent from its competitor.

However, if overall performance is assessed, there can be no doubt that Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is still the top choice for camera lovers, because it offers highly improved auto-focus, brighter video quality, and increased frame rate. The focus on Lumia 950 XL is so inferior that shooting a video in a place with a lot of motion becomes a nightmare.
