All of the latest technologies revolve around battery life. May it be Snapdragon 820 or Huawei’s recently announced powerful batteries. The all-new Windows 10-powered Lumia phones are no different. The company, on its Windows blog, mentions that the devices are backed with 3000 mAh (Lumia 950) and 3340 mAh (Lumia 950 XL) batteries which are strong enough to give you “19 hours of talk time (3G) and up to 300 hours of stand-by time.”

  1. Wireless charging: Microsoft has introduced Wireless Charger DT-904, which is not sold with the phone. This charger is the best accessory for frequent travelers. To charge your phone, place it on the dock and it will start charging the device. Microsoft’s Wireless Charger DT-904 supports Windows 10 phones, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

  2. Fast-charging batteries: These latest phones from Microsoft comes with USB-C connector and supports USB 3.1 standard. This allows fast charging of the devices. The Windows blog also claims that the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL can “charge from critically low to up 50 percent capacity with 30 minutes of charging.”

  3. Plug in to charge: Connecting your latest Lumia phone to the Microsoft Display Dock will also allow it to charge. So, while you turn your phone into a PC, it will not drain the battery; instead, you will get a charged battery by the time you finish your work.

The blog also mentions that even though the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL battery life is long and powerful, their charging capabilities will depend on a number of factors like usage, settings, network conditions, etc.

The Lumia 950 release date is one November 20 in the US (which will be sold by AT&T) and December 7 in Australia.
