‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Spoilers: Lucifer & Chloe Fall In Love?
Only love can win the devilish heart and that is exactly what Chloe is all set to do in “Lucifer” season 2. Can Lucifer really reform his ways under the influence of the angelic Chloe?Advertisement
While the character of Lucifer a.k.a. Satan was shown to be smug, mischievous and utterly selfish when he was introduced in season 1, his demeanor has gone through gradual changes since. The reason is, of course, Chloe Dekker, on whom Lucifer’s charms and magical abilities do not work.

Contrary to his characteristic traits, which lets him embrace recklessness due to the fact that invincible, Lucifer remains unfazed when he realizes that his closeness to Chloe makes him physically vulnerable.
If anything, he seemed amused by this revelation and excited to test his “mortality.” Will Chloe’s company make Lucifer more human in the next season?
“I think the notion of him not just being a selfish being and the conflict that causes within him is something we will explore in season two”, said Tom Ellis, who plays Lucifer on the show, in an interview with Empire.
Tom further added that Lucifer is looking for answers right now, something that Chloe might help him accomplish: “Underneath it all, there was a guy who was a hurt soul and rejected from his father. When he feels something, he knows he’s feeling something, but he doesn’t know what it is.”

However, the road to the devil’s heart will obviously not be an easy one. There are bound to be some lapses on the Lucifer’s way to finding a soul inside himself.
“It’s important for Lucifer sometimes to remember that he’s the Devil; to keep the notion that he is a wild animal that is seemingly being tamed, but at any moment could snap,” said Tom.
In another interview with Stuff.co.nz, Tom hinted that the flirting relationship between Lucifer and Chloe has the potential to develop into more than friendship in season 2:
“He does meet a girl, of course, and he’s fascinated by her. It’s probably the biggest reason the show works because he becomes more focused on her than what they are supposed to be investigating and that’s a very human trait when it comes to men.”
