‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Premiere: Plot, Air Date, Spoilers And Facts To Know
“Lucifer’ Season 2 is arriving with some unfamiliar faces, unexplored secrets and lots of “hellish” drama that is surely going to keep viewers glued to their television screens!Advertisement
Before you decide to dive straight into Season 2 of this one of a kind take on the biblical story of God and Satan, here is a recapitulation of all that we have learned in the previous season.
The plot revolves around Lucifer, the flamboyant, irresistibly charming, mind-reading demon who was banished to Hell for going against his father, God, but he decided to take a break. His vacation involved taking a human form, going to Los Angeles and opens a night club along with his loyal side-kick, Maze.
However, Lucifer soon befriends an LAPD detective, Chloe Decker and finds himself enjoying the process of catching criminals and doling out his own form of punishments for them.
Things get complicated when his brother, Amenadiel, another angel of God, arrives to take him back to hell and Lucifer resists because he has started to prefer his life as a do-gooder and also seems to have developed feelings for Chloe.
“Lucifer” Season 1 wrapped up with Lucifer getting shot and bleeding to death (because close proximity with Chloe makes him vulnerable to human weapons) and he prays to his father to save him, he sees some sort of a vision or dream where he discovers that his mother had escaped from the prison of Hell.
The finale is the first time we get to hear Lucifer speak about his mother and from the looks of things, he and Amenadiel look pretty scared about the fact that their mother had broken free of Hell. This definitely means bad news because there are not many things that get Lucifer all riled up.
