Lucifer might have not thought twice about disobeying God regarding his mother’s fate, but will detective Chloe end up having to pay for it?
Lucifer might have committed the biggest sin yet and he doesn’t even realize it, as Amenadiel will point out to him in “Lucifer” season 2 episode 4.
The dark angel confers his version of “punishment” to his mother in the previous episode but it is nowhere near what God, Lucifer’s father, had ordered him to do.
While God had clearly told Lucifer to banish his mother back to hell, as soon he locates her, Lucifer has chosen to ignore his father’s divine orders and sentenced his mother to life on earth as a human instead.
And while this might be punishment enough, according to Lucifer, that his mother will have to live a mortal life and do human things, it is nevertheless a direct betrayal of God’s orders, the consequences of which could be deadly.
God had spared Chloe’s life in the previous season on the condition that Lucifer delivers his mother, who had escaped Hell’s prison, back to where she came from.
Since Lucifer has not fulfilled his end of the bargain, there are no guarantees that God would not revoke his end of the deal at any moment, reminds Amenadiel.
Will Chloe’s life be taken by God due to Lucifer’s betrayal?
Also, there will be a bet placed between Lucifer and Maze, with the former betting against the fact that Chloe would ever agree to hang out with Maze.
However, Lucifer will lose the bet and Chloe does go out with Maze for a drink. This would lead Lucifer to take a very important decision that will be revealed in the next episode, reports Game N Guide.
