There was no doubt that LG’s latest flagship model, LG V10, would receive the latest Marshmallow update. However, fans could not feel certain until recently, when T-Mobile officially confirmed the news.

Launched in October, the V10 was missing from the list released by T-Mobile on its network showing a number of devices to have the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. LG G3, LG G4, LG G Stylo, HTC One M8, HTC One M9, Google Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, Nexus 9, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Note 5, Note Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy Tab S2, and Galaxy S6 Edge+ were mentioned in the list. Recently, the LG V10 was added to it, reports GSM Arena.

Earlier reports say that the magenta carrier follows three step-by-step procedures to ensure that a device is ready for the latest software update. These steps include Manufacturer Development, T-Mobile Testing and Completed stages consecutively. It was reported in October that only the Nexus devices had completed the three stages, while the rest of the devices were in the first stage.

In the New Year, LG V10 will get its taste of Marshmallow, followed by other phones which will be getting the update in the next few months. T-Mobile, however, does not specify the exact date of the Marshmallow rollout on the LG device.
