What's This?

LG is about to launch ‘Rolly,’ a rollable, solid plastic keyboard for smartphones and tablets at IFA, Berlin. The company says they want to capture the fast-growing mobile accessories market.

Rollable keyboards are not new to the industry. These compact, pocket-sized keyboards are in the market for a long time now. Then what’s new with LG’s Rolly? LG’s Rolly is made of solid plastic and is designed specially for smartphones and tablets. This Bluetooth keyboard allows users to fold up to 4 rows, turning into a stick, making it perfect for your pocket.

In a post on LG News Room, Seo Young-jae, vice president in charge of Innovative Personal Devices at LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, was quoted saying,

“LG Rolly Keyboard is just one of the many premium input devices we’ll be unveiling in the coming months as we expand our accessories offerings. The goal was to create a product that could add more value to LG smartphones and tablets at the same time offering a unique design proposition that hadn’t been explored before.”

Set to launch in September in the U.S., the visitors of IFA are said to get a closer look of the product from September 4 to September 9 in Hall 18 of Messe Berlin. The price of the product will also be announced at the event.

The best part about this keyboard is that it can be paired with two devices at the same time. With a single AAA battery, this keyboard has enough power to run for 3 months. This is another product we should look forward to at IFA next month. More details about the product can be given only after its launch at the event.
