LG G5 will soon launch globally on March 31 and will start rolling out on April 1. Several UK and US retailers have listed the G5 on their sites along with prices, the pre-orders of which have already begun.
A SIM-free LG G5 is up for sale on Carphone Warehouse with a quoted price at £499 (approx. US $721). A few days ago, the device was listed on Amazon for £529 (approx. US $764) price but is now dropped to £499.99 (approx. US $722).
Those who signed up for a pre-order on Clove can now enjoy the G5 model at £529.99 (approx. US $765), which was previously priced at £539 (approx. US $778). The good news is the device comes with a pair of B&O in-ear headphones, reports GSM Arena.
The LG G5 is listed on Verizon and Spring mobile carriers at $99.99 for 2 years in the United States. The unlocked and un-activated G5 model is priced at $799.99. To promote sales of the device, LG is offering a free charging cradle and second battery as part of its pre-order campaign.
In a recently published report by NDTV, the LG G5 will be available in the UK at GBP 449.17 excluding VAT and GBP 539 including VAT. You can expect the G5 flagship smartphone to go on sale in India in the next quarter. The price will, however, range between Rs. 40,000 (approx. US$ 602) and Rs. 50,000 (approx. US $753).
The soon-to-be launched LG G5 will come with several add-ons, also called LG Friends. These are the companion devices that can be added to the handset for additional functions. The Hi-Fi Plus module is a standalone portable DAC meant to enable 32-bit audio playback. An LG Plus Cam is another add-on that adds extra physical buttons for camera operations.
LG’s Department Head, Cho Joon-ho, said to the Korea IT News, “We are going to establish a module ecosystem that will be started with G5 and LG Friends. We are going to create variety of programs that will support developers.”
