What's This?

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) event started yesterday and while Samsung’s Galaxy S7 was the major center of attraction, LG G5 was launched amidst the excitement. Indeed, the South Korean company had every reason to celebrate its new modular device, which has the most impressive design that sets it apart from other smartphones.

The new LG G5 can be customized according to your whims since its innovative design allows you to use different modules for different kinds of functionalities. LG calls the modules ‘Friends’, which offer many surprises. Every bit of its design is thoughtfully planned as per users’ convenience. For instance, the phone’s bottom part can be removed and replaced with batteries and even other accessories, notes Forbes.

The device comes with an external battery pack, which also functions as a dedicated camera controller. This enables users take photos with the phone just by using one hand. Using clip-on parts to the base of the device help users derive few extra hours of battery life. In addition, there are zoom buttons and a physical camera shutter with the attachable modules.

LG bought a breakthrough design, developed by Bang & Olufsen, for keeping consumers engaged with a fantastic audio module. It is the new Hi-Fi digital-to-analog (DAC) converter that enhances audio quality by manifolds. Another highlighting feature is the easy-to-remove battery. Replace the dead battery with a spare one, and while your phone is working on the new fully-charged battery, you can recharge the dead battery in the meantime, states The Independent.

According to BBC, the LG G5 captures your attention with two camera lenses positioned at the rear side of the phone. One of them is a normal lens, which is used for taking 135-degree wide-angled shots.  The other lens has a more powerful camera sensor, which is double the power of the normal lens that has 8MP resolution.

Reports suggest that the LG G5 has a 5.3-inches screen size and is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor along with GB of RAM. It houses 32GB of internal storage space, which is expandable via a microSD card. Meanwhile, the battery power is 2,800mAH.
