LG G4 has become one of the most recognized devices of the company. The flagship phone comes with a leather back panel along with Android 5.1 from the box. As far as updates to Android Lollipop 5.1.1 are concerned, many of the LG models may not get such. Check out the future update of the device if you are also using an LG phone.

Though the LG G4 comes with Android Lollipop 5.1, update to 5.1.1 is still not announced by the company.

LG G4 Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update may come sometime later during the year. The flagship mobile of Samsung, Galaxy S6 has already upgraded to Android 5.1.1, keeping it one step ahead of LG.

According to YIBADA, it is still not sure when LG G3 will receive the 5.1.1 update. As GSM Arena reports, LG G2 will receive the update next month. So if you are using LG G2, the Android 5.1.1 update is just round the corner.

The report also suggests that LG may not be announcing a Lollipop update for any of its latest version of mobiles available in the market. This may be applicable for G4 and G3. In that case, we can assume that the company is waiting for the Android M release date. The devices may directly get updated to the latest version of Android, expected to release later this year.

According to a Phone Arena report, customers have already asked about the Android Lollipop update for LG G4 on social media websites. O2 UK and LG Hellas have responded on Facebook by saying that the company does not have such plans in the near future.

Many believe that LG wants to directly jump to Android M. Google has already announced this new version of Android. It is almost sure that the new version will have a lot of changes, and whether or not LG will use it will be revealed in the near future.
