lenovo yoga 3 pro launch Lenovo Announces the Yoga 3 Pro With a Uniquely designed HingeLenovo has officially announced today the Yoga 3 Pro, the latest iteration of the company’s widely popular Yoga line of laptops which arguably started the trend of convertible notebook PCs.

The new 13-inch Yoga 3 Pro features the same multi-mode design as the previous Yoga model, the Yoga 2 Pro, but Lenovo has improved the Yoga 3 Pro’s design and have made it 17 percent thinner at only 12.8mm thin and 14 percent lighter at only 1.19kg. Lenovo has also redesigned the Yoga 3 Pro’s hinge from the previous two-hinge system to a new six-hinge system that’s designed to look like a metal watchband that features 800 pieces of steel and aluminum.

The Yoga 3 Pro still features the same QHD+ screen found on the Yoga 2 Pro with a display resolution of 3200×1800 pixels which still makes it one of the best-screened laptops in the market. Complementing the Yoga 3 Pro’s screen is a new software feature called Harmony that automatically adjusts the brightness and color temperature of the screen to suit the environment lighting as well as the current app or software being used. The Yoga 3 Pro is also equipped with JBL Speakers with Waves Audio that automatically adjusts and optimizes the sound output for each of the Yoga 3 Pro’s modes – laptop, tablet, stand, and tent.

Internally, the Yoga 3 Pro is equipped with Intel’s latest Core M-70 Broadwell processors as well as up to 8GB of RAM, up to a 512GB SSD, and up to nine hours of battery life. Additionally, it is also equipped with the
latest 5GHz WiFi 802.11ac connectivity, and Intel HD graphics.

We have responded with an innovative new hinge design, and continued to evolve YOGA into a truly adaptable, intelligent device. Today I believe YOGA is among the world’s best notebook computers.”

The Yoga 3 Pro convertible ultrabook will be available sometime near the end of October at either Best Buy or Lenovo’s online shop with prices starting at €1,599 (around $2,020). The new ultrabook is available in Clementine Orange, Platinum Silver, or Champagne Gold.
