Chinese manufacturer, Huawei, has big plans for the forthcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event at Barcelona. The company might launch its flagship model, the Huawei P9 smartphone at the launch event. Recent leaked reports on popular weibo website confirmed the upcoming handset and related specs.


Huawei is, at present, the third largest smartphone seller after Apple and Samsung, according to Gartner reports. While fans are hoping for a release of the P9 flagship at the MWC event, the device won’t appear in the US and Europe until Spring, states IBNLine.

Leaked reports splashed over popular Weibo user site (via MyDrivers.com) indicate the existence of the P9 flagship. The renders reveal the impressive features of the phone related to design, physical configuration, etc.

The phone will sport a 5.2-inch display screen, Huawei’s own Kirin 955 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 2,900mAH battery. The phone is expected to come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a dual system 12MP camera sensor configuration, reports VentureBeat.

Huawei tasted great success last year. The launch of Google’s Nexus 6P puts the Chinese tech firm at the pinnacle, since the 6P proved to be the best Android smartphone of the year. Huawei continued earning trust of its fans with more releases- the Huawei Mate 8 and the Huawei Mate S. Now, that the MWC launch event is upon us, the company is expected to surprise its fans with the flagship model, Huawei P9. However, the news is not confirmed but according to rumors Huawei is avoiding clashes against any big announcements from LG.

Apart from this, speculations are rife that Huawei is all set for the Huawei Watch 2 release this year. Also, there are talks going on regarding the launch of a dual-boot notebook, which is expected to run both on Windows and Android operating system. However, this has not been confirmed yet, reports ThaiVisaNews.
