Lea Michele has two new tattoos and both of them are special. The 29-year-old star recently revealed on Instagram the pictures of the tattoos.
While giving out news about her tattoos, the star broke out the sad news of her grandmother’s demise, reported People Magazine. The two tattoos in question are not quite big and visible.
One of these tattoos, located on her finger, shows a steaming cup of coffee. This is in honor of her grandmom.
“I lost my beautiful grandma this week… She wasn’t your typical grandma,” she said, adding, “She gave me my first cup of coffee when I was 8 years old. She said something inappropriate to every boyfriend I’ve ever had. She never made pie or knit me a sweater. But she was my grandma and I loved her. More than anything… I love you Grandma.”
The other tattoo is simply number “5.” This is located on her ribs, as Refinery 29 reported. This tattoo presumably represents the jersey number of Monteith’s character on Glee, since the caption reads, “for my quarterback.”
Cory Monteith, her ex-boyfriend, also died in 2013 following a drug overdose. With this tattoo., the “Scream Queen” actress can surely keep his memory close to her heart.
Entertainment Weekly pointed out this is not the first time the star is dedicating something to her late boyfriend. She previously dedicated the song “You’re Mine” to Cory. Fans on Twitter expressed their condolence to the lady and also praised her for her choice.
