In this season of “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?” the couple has called off their plans to get married. It is believed that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are in no hurry. But is it because they are unsure of each other?
Ben Higgins was a software salesman, Lauren a flight attendant. The reportedly unscripted show of Ben and Lauren has almost 670,000 weekly viewers.
The show’s central theme is based on the existentialist uncertainties of love.
Ben and Lauren halt wedding plans?
According to Extra, the couple in an interview revealed their future plans, which include marriage. The “Bachelor” finale in March witnessed Ben proposing to Lauren. She welcomed Ben’s proposal back then with a big “yes!”
But surprisingly, when the two were asked about their wedding, they played coy. According to Us Magazine, Lauren replied, “Oh, gosh, the million-dollar question!”
Ben chimed in to say, “I think at this point, Lauren and I are focusing on our relationship, which is obvious. We’re definitely together — we are happily engaged. The wedding in our mind — ‘Where’s your ring at?’ — is still on, but we are just taking some time to help plan that where it’s not stressful or overwhelming.”
Episode reveals troubled relationship?
Lauren Bushnell then justified the point by talking about the feelings they have as an engaged couple.
Lauren said, “Any couple feels the same pressures — you get engaged, and everyone asks when is the wedding. … We’ve navigated it relatively well and [are] doing things on our own timeline, honestly.”
According to Daily Mail, the relationship of the coupled seemed to be in trouble after witnessing a recent episode of “Ben & Lauren.” The episode shows Ben calling off the wedding, while Lauren is left in tears.
A heartbroken Lauren asked, “So you’re saying the wedding is off?”
To which Ben replied, “Yeah, I am. The wedding’s off.”
Ben Higgins mentioned in the interview, “The show is stressful, it’s hard… One thing Lauren and I have learned, we really need to focus on taking time as a couple to do things.”
