Large Hadron Collider Opens New Portal: Bizarre Clouds Spotted Over Switzerland

A video claiming that the the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) opened a new portal in Geneva is currently trending online. The video shows a bizarre cloud formation above the sky that looked like an opening to the other dimension.

The 14-minute video, posted by the so-called Freedom Fighter Times on YouTube, has been viewed for more than 700,000 times as of posting. The narrator in the video claims, while pointing to the image in question, that the portal was photographed on June 24, 2016.

“Some were pointing out that they were seeing faces on it. You know what though? Even if you can’t see the face in it, which I can clearly can, it’s amazing, because they keep messing with nature and they keep on denying it and here is yet more proof that they are messing with nature,” the narrator says.

The narrator described the appearance as an “insane ball of energy” that suddenly appeared in the middle of a metropolis, creating a bizarre appearance over the skyline. Coincidentally, the report comes as CERN announced its experiments on hypothetical particle, as reported by CERN’s official press release.

In a statement, James Pinfold, Spokesperson of the MoEDAL experiment, announced the launch of its LHC experiment at the discovery frontier. The experiment, according to the statement, narrows the window of where exactly to search for hypothetical particle—the magnetic monopole.

CERN noted that this was the first time such an experiment has been carried out after decades of study in the related field. Several studies that aim to look for evidence of magnetic monopoles at accelerators in the past have been conducted but all of those experiments proved futile.

“Today MoEDAL celebrates the release of its first physics result and joins the other LHC experiments at the discovery frontier,” Pinfold said.
