Lakers Vs Bucks: Rookie D’Angelo Russell had a career-high 7 assists to go along with 19 points, 3 steals and 4 rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers blew out the Milwaukee Bucks 113-95 Tuesday night at Staples Center.
While the Lakers snapped a six-game losing streak, the Bucks continued their dismal road form. Seven Laker players scored in double digits, led by Kobe Bryant who finished with 22 points and 6 assists on an efficient 7/15 shooting night. Roy Hibbert had 12 points and 11 rebounds while Lou Williams finished with 12 points. Jordan Clarkson, back to the starting unit after missing two games with injury, finished with 12 points, 3 assists and 3 steals.
Julius Randle,a perennial double-double machine, finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds from 25 minutes off the bench. Nick Young chipped in with 10 points including 3/6 from deep.
For the Bucks, Michael Carter-Williams was the lone bright spot with 19 points and 5 assists. Center Greg Monroe was ruled out of the game with a last-minute injury. Wings Khris Middleton (16 points) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (15 points) had decent outings but weren’t at their defensive best. The Lakers were allowed to shoot a rare 46% from the field and 37 from deep.
John Henson, Monroe’s replacement in the starting unit, had an impressive four blocks from 24 minutes on the court.
The Lakers were playing only their fourth home game this month. The Bucks came into the game fresh off of breaking the Golden State Warriors’ Streak on Sunday.
