“She’s been very collaborative and incredibly fun. When you work with somebody like her you sign up for something larger than life. That’s what you want,” Murphy told press during yesterday’s Comic-Con.

Murphy revealed that while many stars phoned him to ask for a role in “American Horror Story,” Lady Gaga wrote him a letter. In the letter, Lady Gaga had spoken about her love for the show. She humbly asked if there was any chance that she could have a part to which Murphy replied: Yes, CAPS CAPS.

“The best call ever is ‘Please wait for Gaga,’ and she got on the phone and could not have been lovelier.”

Murphy highlighted that Gaga will not be singing in an “American Horror Story” episode. Lady Gaga, Murphy said, will be playing an evil character.

“She said, ‘I want to be evil.’ And I said, ‘OK, you came to the right place,'” Murphy shared.

Specifically, Lady Gaga will be a fashionable evil character, Murphy hinted.

“Part of her role involves fashion. You want Lady Gaga to look a certain way. The designers have been coming out of the woodwork with looks for her,” Murphy said during the Comic-con.

Murphy attended the panel at San Diego’s Comic-Con with “American Horror Story” cast members Emma Roberts, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Angela Bassett.
