The 30-year-old pop star’s rumored collaboration with “The Big Big Beat” singer was leaked online through music-sharing site SoundClound last August 14.
According to Pop Sugar, Lady Gaga and Azealia Banks’ tie-up for the single “Red Flame” was originally recorded in 2012.
The song was said to be originally for Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP album, which features Azealia Banks’ rapping prowess. However, the song did not make the final cut, as reports said.
It can be recalled that Azealia Banks first hinted a collaboration with Lady Gaga in 2012.
In an interview with Mix TV, the 25-year-old rapper said she worked with the “Paparazzi” hitmaker from a distance.
She said, “I worked with Lady Gaga, but I worked with Lady Gaga from afar. We worked via email and via Internet.”
“We have a song called ‘Red Flame’ and a song called ‘Ratchet,’ but I don’t know what she’s doing with it. She’s going to release it when she wants to release it.”
Could the leaked electro rap song be the one Azealia Banks was talking about?
We are also looking forward to the release of their other song “Ratchet.”
Meanwhile, “Red Flame” has been the a trending topic in Twitter, with fans of the two singers getting excited on the leaked song.
One Twitter user said, “Red flame should have been on ARTPOP instead of the mess that is jewels n drugs.”
Another said, “What if Gaga leaking Red Flame is a way of hyping herself up before she drops something very soon.”
