Lady Antebellum Tour Bus Catches Fire, Singer Scott Escapes Unhurt
The tour bus of the band Lady Antebellum caught fire on Thursday along Interstate 30 in Garland. It was on its way to Dallas for the Country Music Awards at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
The bus was carrying Lady Antebellum member singer Hillary Scott, her husband and her tour manager.
“Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly,” Scott posted on Instagram. “Everyone is safe and sound.”
“It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver,” Scott wrote.
“Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe.”
Garland Fire Department Captain Billy Craven announced that all passengers escaped unhurt as the driver acted immediately.
Publicist Mary Hilliard has informed that it was not the same bus Scott normally uses. Her usual bus was unavailable on that particular day.
Authorities said it took three to four hours to remove the debris.
