Kyrie 2 ‘Kyrache’ Release Date, Price & Where to Buy: Nike Air Flight Huarache-Inspired Shoe Coming Out
Cleveland Cavaliers superstar point guard Kyrie Irving is expected to make headlines on Tuesday, but not because of his performance on the hardcourt. Nike confirmed a new colorway of the Kyrie 2 will hit the market, and is now generating a lot of noise online.Advertisement
The Kyrie 2, the second Nike signature shoe of the All-Star point guard, will come out in what is dubbed as “Kyrache” edition. This edition is officially listed as the White/Bold Berry/Lyon Blue/Black colorway of the popular signature model, which has been drawing a lot of attention on the sneaker market over the past several months.
The Kyrie 2 “Kyrache” features a white-based upper part with bold berry heel area and strap. It also sports a blue tongue along with Kyrie Irving’s official logo on the insole and outsole. It was finished off with white laces, midsole and outsole to create a clean but eye-catching look.
According to Nike, this colorway was inspired by the classic 90’s colors, particularly the popular 1992 Nike Air Flight Huarache, which was a huge hit when it was released. Nike and Irving pay homage to the classic shoe by combining its elements with the latest materials.
Irving was born the same year the 1992 Nike Air Flight Huarache was released. But the Cavaliers superstar is well aware of the popularity of the classic shoe.
According to Sneaker News, Irving turned heads when he wore the shoe during an NBA regular-season game against the Utah Jazz earlier this year. Fans were left wondering if Nike will release the shoe until the company confirmed the Kyrie 2 “Kyrache” release date earlier this month.
The Huarache-inspired colorway of the Kyrie 2 will be available on Saturday in men’s sizing for $120 per pair on SNKRS. Kid’s sizes will come out a bit earlier, as it will hit be released on Tuesday on Nike.com for $100 per pair. More details and official photos are available on Nike News.
