A video showing a “massive disturbance” in the ocean near Antarctica has gone viral, and indications point towards the sea monster Kraken.

After a quick search on Google Earth, there is what appears to be a dark patch of sea near Deception Island.

The image in the video made people delve into a frenzy, while they try to figure out what the black patch is. The question now is whether it is the Kraken or another terrifying creature, says the Huffington Post.

According to Scott Waring of UFO Sighting Daily, the image could be actually showing a sea monster.

“This looks like The Kraken. I used Google ruler and it says this is 30 meters (100 feet) from head to end,” said Waring. “But the end looks just like the mid area of a giant squid which means it could be 60+ meters long with tentacles.”

He believes that everything about the image makes him sure that it is the Kraken, a mythical monster with tentacles. It is famous in tales of the sea for drowning people and ships.

According to Fox 13 Now, the picture showing the disturbance in the sea was taken near Deception Island, located in the South Shetlands. The picture appears to show a “fin.”

Many people believe that the image could be of the Loch Ness Monster. However, others think that it could be an underwater UFO.

Counter arguments have erupted regarding the image. There are people who hold a more logical explanation for the strange object. According to these people, our planet is the habitat of huge sea creatures, but not krakens. There may be high chance that it is probably the image of a blue whale or a large animal of some kind.

One can find the image on these coordinates: 63° 2’56.73″S 60°57’32.38″W.
