Kobe Bryant for three! The former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard is now expecting a third child with wife Vanessa just a few months after his final NBA game.

With the Black Mamba, as he is popularly known to fans, officially retired, he might take a hands-on approach to his third child. Going from hoops to a full-time husband in such a short amount of time will definitely be a challenge for the NBA Legend.

A New Baby Mamba

According to TMZ, Mrs. Mamba Vanessa Laine Bryant broke the big news on social media. Her post read: Beyond blessed and excited to share that we are expecting our third baby girl!!! #Blessed #BabyMamba #Thankful.

The post was alongside a picture of a pair of red sneakers and a white onesie with the words Baby Mamba printed on it.

Guess we now know how Kobe Bryant has been spending his retirement. Considering that it has been a long time that a new Baby Mamba has been brought into the world.

According to E!, Bryant’s oldest daughter, Natalia Diamante Bryant is now 13 and second daughter Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant is now 10. Whether the two will get a baby brother or sister is still too early to tell.

Bryant attended the ESPY 2016 Awards Ceremony, where he was presented with the Icon Award by Justin Timberlake.

Thank you, it’s amazing to be standing here alongside Abby and Peyton… We grew up in our sports together,” Kobe shared in his speech, as reported by Hollywood Life. “We are up here cause of our dreams. We were never satisfied and will never be finished. Thank you for this honor but I am not done yet,”  Kobe said.

This implies that even if he will not be seen in the basketball court any time soon, we will still see him.

The 37-year old joined the NBA straight out of High School, with a career spanning 20 years. Additionally, he also holds the record for the most seasons playing with the Los Angeles Lakers for his entire career.

While his career has been marred by allegations of sexual assault, Bryant is still well loved by fans. This was apparent when he announced his retirement with an outpouring of praise to the NBA Star.

A big congratulations to Kobe Bryant and Vanessa Bryant on their third child.
