Kim Kardashian said that Taylor Swift lied when she said she did not approve of the alleged offensive lyrics in Kanye West’s song “Famous.”
The reality star aired her side recently in a GQ’s interview where she said the “Blank Space” singer approved the lyrics of her husband’s song.
It can be recalled that Kanye West sang “Famous” with the lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” he raps, “Why? I made that **** famous.”
But Taylor Swift denied the allegations and even made a whole speech about the whole thing when she received an award for Grammys this year.
“There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,” she said in her acceptance speech last February.
Now, Kim Kardashian came to the side of her husband, saying that the “Bad Blood” singer played the victim when in fact she knew the lyrics all along even before it was recorded.
“She totally approved that,” Kim Kardashian told in an interview with Caity Weaver. “She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t.”
“It was funny because [on the call with Kanye, Taylor] said, ‘When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I’m so against this, and I’ll just laugh and say, ‘The joke’s on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time.’ And I’m like, wait, but [in] your Grammy speech, you completely dissed my husband just to play the victim again,” the reality star added.
Kim Kardashian also said that they got a letter from the singer’s lawyer saying that their camp should not release that footage, BBC said in a report.
In 2009, Taylor Swift and Kanye West had their first rift when she received the Best Female Video award in VMA. Kanye West claimed that Beyonce should have gotten the award instead of her.
