What's This?

No need to be sorry, Kim. The Apple App Store is not broken. At least, not entirely.

Last Monday, reality star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian debuted the Kimoji on the Apple App Store. It is a unique set of emoji characters featuring everything Kim, including her many facial expressions, her bootylicious body, her middle finger and other things uniquely Kim. The response to the Kimoji was so overwhelming that for some time, Kim’s fans could not download it. In response, Kim took to Twitter immediately and said, “Apple, I’m so sorry I broke your App Store!!!”

Kim explained that the technical issues are due to “massive downloads” of the Kimoji. She also assured fans that they should be able to download the app soon. However, it seems the overwhelming surge of downloads for the app was not enough to break the Apple App Store entirely. In fact, the system status of Apple reveals that there have been no reported issues for the App Store. Meanwhile, Kim later tweeted that all issues with regards to downloading Kimoji has been fixed.

Whether Kim’s app did destroy the Apple App Store or not, one thing remains undisputed: the reality star’s app is one of the most downloaded apps in the store today. The new Kimoji app by Kim Kardashian is available for download at the Apple App Store for $1.99.
