Khloe Kardashian revealed she had a skin cancer scare which led her to decide to remove her mole.
The 32-year-old “Keeping Up with the Kardashian” star said she had a mole removed from her back, following her late father Robert Kardashian’s diagnosis on esophageal cancer.
The reality star decided to do the surgery eight weeks after his father’s cancer diagnosis, but it turned out to be benign.
Khloe Kardashian took to her personal app to share about the skin cancer scare she had.
She said, “There was one mole I had on my back that was skin cancer. I had eight inches of skin removed. It was definitely painful because it was a lot of skin, but most of the time, the removals haven’t been that bad.”
“They took the whole thing out and they biopsied it. Thankfully, it was benign. I’ve gone through this process a couple of times and I am so grateful that most moles have not been cancerous.
She said that she is now more aware about her body and the possibilities of having such disease. Khloe Kardashian also said that she is sharing her skin cancer care to encourage people to have themselves checked, Mirror UK said.
“I’m writing this post with the hope that my story can get some of you in to see your doctor if you notice something wrong with your skin,” she added. “I haven’t had a problem in years, but wanted to share my experience with you so that if you notice something doesn’t look right, you will take action and take care of your health!”
Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian rejected her mother Kris Jenner’s advise to have herself checked for breast cancer.
In one episode, Khloe Kardashian said she does not care if she gets breast cancer.
“‘You don’t care if you could possibly get breast cancer?” the momager asked, to which Khloe answered, “We’re all going to die.”
The reality star has also been extra conscious about her body weight, which resulted to her extreme weight loss. Reports said that she has been undergoing exercise and diet after she broke-up with ex Lamar Odom.
