Kelly Ripa’s good friends Katie Couric and Andy Cohen both had reactions to the “Live!” drama she created. Both said she and Michael Strahan can overcome this little feud.

During the 2016 Matrix Awards in New York City on Monday, Katie Couric, Yahoo’s global news anchor gave her perspective regarding the untelevised issues on the set of “Live! With Kelly and Michael”. In a report by E! News, the morning show veteran said, “My feeling is they’ll work it out.”

She also noted that she was not too aware of what was going on behind the scenes drama. She added, “I think Kelly, obviously, should be included in any kind of massive transition like that. Hopefully she’ll move forward and Michael will move forward and it will all work out. Yes, it’s been quite a brouhaha.”

In People’s report, Couric said that including Ripa in Strahan’s exit in the show made sense as she was a part of it. “It’s perplexing as to why she wasn’t. But I think she is a consummate professional. I know she’ll show up and give it 100 percent.”

On the other hand, Ripa’s close friend, Andy Cohen told E! News on a separate interview, that he was stunned by the show’s drama. He said the whole situation should not be blown bigger than it is because the two hosts are really great friends. “Kelly and Michael, they had such great chemistry. And I’m just looking at this and it just seems like a premature end to a great relationship that ended way too prematurely.” he said.

He also suggested their mutual friend, Anderson Cooper, to succeed Strahan in the show and said, “He would be so good co-hosting that show.”
