Kathy Shelton Rape Case: Hillary Clinton Voluntariliy Defended A Rapist, Know More Details Here

The Kathy Shelton rape case, an event that serves to discredit the claims that Hillary Clinton is a champion for women. At the age of 12, Shelton endured what no girl should ever endure, and thanks to the effort of a lawyer named Hillary Rodham, she was denied the justice she deserved.

Now 54 years old, the Arkansas native still bears the painful memories of the time she was molested by 41-year-old factory worker Thomas Alfred Taylor. Taylor’s charges were reduced from first-degree rape to “unlawful fondling of a child under 14” due to a lack of credible evidence on the case.

According to Fact Check, Taylor served only 10 months of a mere one-year sentence and died in 1992. Now his defender is running for president, proclaiming herself to be a champion for women. Curiously, given the fact that Hillary Clinton worked so hard to undermine her credibility of her allegations against Taylor.

Clinton discussed the case in an interview conducted sometime in the mid-1980s by Arkansas reporter Roy Reed. In the interview, she allegedly laughed at the fact that Taylor received a light sentence even though she knew that he was guilty.

Now, the Kathy Shelton rape case has been used time and time again to discredit Sec. Clinton. According to her critics, her defense of Thomas Alfred Taylor makes her a hypocrite when she claims to be an advocate for women, particularly sexual assault victims.

It is believed that the case will be used by GOP nominee Donald Trump to attack Clinton on Sunday, October 9. Trump has been incessantly branded his opponent as a “bully” to sexual assault victims going into the second debate. Not just in the Shelton case but the numerous accusations against her husband, former president Bill Clinton.

Hillary Clinton Also Didn’t Want To Defend Taylor In Kathy Shelton Rape Case

The Clinton campaign has denied the allegations that she “voluntarily” defended Taylor in the case. In fact, she tried desperately to get out of the assignment.

In her 2003 memoir “Living History,” Clinton wrote.  “I really didn’t feel comfortable taking on such a client, but (Prosecutor) Mahlon (Gibson) gently reminded me that I couldn’t very well refuse the judge’s request.”

In a 2014 interview with CNN, Gibson remembered the young lawyer’s reaction the same way. Clinton pleaded with him to let her off the case saying “I don’t want to represent this guy. I just can’t stand this.”

Hillary Clinton could have avoided this massive blow to her credibility if her request to refuse the case was granted. Now the Kathy Shelton Rape Case continues to be a thorn to her political career and appears that will stick with her for life.
