At night, she transformed into a princess that she is in real life. Kate wore a red cocktail dress for the couple’s reception at Government House in Victoria, Canada.
Kate’s dress was made by London fashion label Preen. For the second time since touching down on Canada on Saturday night, she wore the queen’s diamond Maple Leaf Brooch, paying tribute to her host nation’s symbol through her jewelry, the Mirror reports.
Her minimal accessories included chunky drop earrings. She carried a red Miu Miu clutch and wore the same pair of red high heels. Her brunette tresses were styled into a low chignon.
Kate is compared more often than not with her famous mother-in-law, the late Princess Diana. But very unlike the People’s Princess, the mother-of-two reportedly likes attention, thanks to her marriage to Prince William.
We have to wait for some time to see if the queen is fuming for Kate’s wardrobe when she landed in Canada, and also if she treats the royal tour as her catwalk to showcase pricey, designer dresses.
