Kate Middleton, Prince Philip Feuding: Prince George’s Birthday Is More Important Than America’s Cup World Series?

Kate Middleton was reportedly enraged with Prince Philip for not attending the birthday of his great-grandson Prince George on Friday.


The 95-year-old Duke of Edinburgh chose to forgo the third birthday party of the future king and attended the America’s Cup World Series. The tot might not have even missed his great-grandpa with lots of gifts and his doting grandma around.

The Cambridges celebrated Prince George’s third birthday at their country home Anmer Hall. Family members and friends of Prince William and Kate Middleton who stayed near Norfolk were invited for the tea party. A week earlier it was reported that Prince George’s parents have spoilt him with expensive gifts for his birthday.

William and Kate bought their little boy a new pet – a Russian Bolonka Zwetna puppy. They also got him a rare Royal Scot train set from Hornby that has a Coronation Class loco, two composite coaches, two brake coaches, two sidings, a station and a large oval track, Daily Mail reports.

This apart, Prince George celebrated his special day with the release of four official portraits, and the Westminster Abbey bells ringing.

The little royal’s grandfather reportedly gifted him a vintage ‘James Bond Goldfinger’ Aston Martin. The 67-year-old likes to give Dinky and Corgi toy cars from the sixties as gifts. Aston Martins are a kind of tradition with the Windsor.

During an official engagement at the America’s Cup World Series on Sunday, William said in a lighter vein that little George was spoilt with a lot of gifts on his birthday, Hello reports. He attended the event with Kate, who is a patron of the 1851 Trust that organizes the sailing championship. Prince Philip may have skipped George’s birthday as the royal family did not celebrate his milestone 95th birthday on June 10, Celebrity Dirty Laundry reports.

The British royals were busy celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s real and official 90th birthday since April 21. There were a host of festivities lined up for the senior royal throughout the country.
