The 32-year-old Duchess of Cambridge reportedly wanted to watch the Olympic Games, which will be held in Brazil. However, the country is on the list of places where Zika virus is prevalent and doctors deemed it best that she not go.
A report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry said that if Kate Middleton is pregnant with her third baby, she will be taking the advice of the World Health Organization (WHO) to forego going to places on the list with Zika viruses to avoid getting their babies infected with the disease.
Zika virus can cause microcephaly on one’s child, which makes their head and brains deformed.
“We think she’s smart for doing this,” CDL noted. “With as much as Kate Middleton loves sports, this has to be a difficult decision for her.”
A Daily Star report said that a close pal of the couple had already decided that Kate Middleton will not accompany Prince William in the games.
“Like any mother she would be terrified at the prospect of catching the virus and having a deformed child, so the safest thing would be to miss the games,” the insider said.
Rumors of Kate Middleton’s pregnancy with her third child with Prince William came in the news through a confirmation from a Life & Style source.
The insider revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be welcoming twins to their growing family.
“Kate and William were totally shocked when they found out,” a source told. “They couldn’t speak at first and both burst out laughing and crying.”
Naturally, nothing is really confirmed unless the Royals themselves confirmed the report.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are parents to royal babies Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
