Can you imagine no less than the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William munching on the phallic clam Geoduck? Well, apparently, they both enjoyed it.
The celebrity slash royal couple’s palate were put to test when they were challenged with the local delicacy in Canada. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were attending a food and wine festival in British Columbia this week, the Telegraph reported.
Geoduck Clams Challenge
But the two were both game and accepted the challenge, which Prince William described as “quite challenging”. The media favorite Kate did not back down when offered with the absolutely phallic burrowing clam, which she described as “really unusual”.
“There is a slightly firmer texture to this. It’s really unusual. I’ve never seen it before. It’s so fresh from the sea,” the Duchess was quoted as saying when pressed to describe her experience after having a taste of Canada’s local dishes.
The Duke, meanwhile, admitted that the delicacy, which drew popularity over the past years outside of BC due to its rather phallic look, said it was “Presentationally they are quite challenging”.
