It is difficult to tell what goes on inside the head of Kanye West. After shocking the world with the release of his bizarre music video of “Famous,” Kanye has attempted to explain what his vision was behind the video.
The “Famous” music video depicts what looks like random celebrities sleeping on a massive bed, side by side, naked.
This led the internet to blow up in all kinds of way, half of them speculating that Kanye would be sued for misusing the face and reputation of the celebrities without their consent.
So what made Kanye lay down naked copies of celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, Caitlyn Jenner, Rihanna, Amber Rose, etc on a bed?
In the midst of people coming up with all sorts of ideas that could have inspired Kanye to make this video, the singer himself has posited a theory that explains why he opted for such an extraordinary concept.
In an interview with Vanity Fair Kanye said that the video was “a comment on fame” and that it was not because he was “in support or anti any of [the people in the video].” He clarified that so that people would not get the wrong notion that he had pitted his own wife against her ex-lover, Ray J, for some person reason.
It is also Kanye’s version of creating an alternate universe (much like DC comics’ “Flashpoint”), where he can imagine the possibilities of being friends with some of his enemies, reports Mic:
“Maybe in some alternative universe me and George Bush could have been friends. I could have been his O.J. Simpson black friend on the golf course.”
George Bush sure isn’t thrilled about being misrepresented in Kanye’s creation, reports Consequence Of Sound. A representative of the ex-POTUS stated, “In case there was any doubt … that is not President Bush. He is in much better shape.”
As to whether Kanye’s “unique” vision faces some legal lawsuit from any of the celebrities in the video is yet to be seen!
