In a recent interview with BBC, the “Not A Bad Thing” hit maker suddenly dropped a hint that he will collaborate with The Weeknd on his 5th album.
“The Weeknd and I have been talking about doing a collaboration soon,” the singer said. “He’s working on an album. I don’t know if I’m supposed to say that.”
The 35-year-old singer added that the “Can’t Feel My Face” hitmaker is always in the studio where they discussed on working on collaboration, The Rolling Stone said in a report.
Justin Timberlake, who just had his son with Jessica Biel last year, is now back to working on his new album since 2013.
His recently released song “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” which is the soundtrack for the movie “Trolls,” was said to have ignited him to release an album. He is also the executive music producer for the animated film.
“I started working on the music for this movie prior to that [photo being taken],” he said. “But then working on the music for this movie just got me really excited about being back in the studio again ’cause I kind of took some time off, you know, having a new family member, having a son. I just kind of took some time off and wanted to just be in that experience.”
Justin Timberlake will also be the lead voice of character Branch. He works alongside other voice cast member Anna Kendrick. He added that singers Gwen Stefani and Ariana Grande will also be included in the soundtrack.
“So then as that was happening I just wanted to stay in the studio, wanted to keep going in the studio ’cause you just get the creativity going,” he said.
Reports said that Pharell and Timbaland are working with Justin Timberlake for his new album though there has not been any confirmation on him.
However, fans were quick to speculate that Justin Timberlake photo with Pharell in what seemed to be a studio, can be a proof that they are brewing something for his new album.
