Jeremy Irons was confirmed to be reprising his role as the badass Alfred Pennyworth for the upcoming “Justice League Part 1,” Movie Pilot said.
The actor will join the cast of the coming movie, which follows Batman’s completion of members for the team, following the series of events in the “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
Alfred Pennyworth will be back as Bruce Wayne’s father figure who helps him in his heroic deed in the Zack Snyder-directed film, following the recent “Batman v. Superman,” which gathered mixed reviews from critics.
Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth’s chemistry is said to be “fun to watch,” as noted by the report.
Noting that Alfred Pennyworth is slowly becoming like M from the James Bond movies, Jeremy Irons looks like he is clinching the role for Zack Snyder’s movies for Justice League for good.
Irons confirmed this after he was congratulated by Roger Friedman for his role in “The Man Who Knew Infinity,” Showbiz 411 said in a report.
Joining Irons in the “Justice League Part 1” cast are Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ezra Miller as The Flash.
Also joining the group are newcomers Amber Heard as Mera, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe. The latter’s role is not yet confirmed.
“Justice League Part 1” has began filming its scenes in London.
