Thanks to Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman, the upcoming Justice League movie by DCEU has already confirmed the official members of the team. So far, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg are sure to appear in the superhero movie. But are we sure that’s all of them?
Since DCEU’s failed attempt with the Green Lantern in 2011, the studio has revealed no plans for Hal Jordan in Justice League. There’s no denying that it’s disappointing to see the team without the initial founding members, but a recent image suggests we shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions yet.
Redditor mide117 recently revealed an image on Instagram showing what seems to be Jason Momoa pointing at his superhero name, Aquaman, numbered “four.” Beside it is a card with the name Cyborg and the number “seven.” Could it be that the DC Extended Universe has selected seven superheroes for the movie?
It would be ignorant to deny the possibility. But who is this new mysterious superhero? Fans at reddit are already suggesting Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern. While we haven’t come across news about a casting call for Green Lantern, it’s possible that DCEU plans to introduce him in a cameo role.
As ForlAmTalon suggested, the Green Lantern could appear at the end, when the Justice League members are celebrating their victory. “I am the lantern of sector 2814, and our world is in danger.”
If this turns out to be true, DCEU cannot keep this low profile any longer. Either the team reveals our mystery superhero at San Diego Comic-con, or a fan/journalist questions them and shatters the myth. Justice League will be releasing on November 17, 2017.
