Justice League: Batman Gets New Suit & Two Vehicles
The production team of Justice League has been officially announcing important details on our superheroes. By far, the studio has revealed vague character descriptions of a resurrected Superman, The Flash and Batman. But that’s not all.Advertisement
Recently, we got to know more about the Dark Knight’s appearance in the upcoming movie. We were able to take a look at the improved Batmobile ready to take down Parademons. This was during the time production designer of Justice League, Patrick Tatopoulos, invited the press to the set for a glimpse of Batman’s new vehicles.
According to IGN, during their visit to the Leavesden set, they were able to get a good look at the new Bat-vehicle named Night Crawler. The military grade vehicle is designed to get Batman in and out of any tunnels and scale walls. It’s a four-legged transporter, capable of piercing through concrete walls. The Night Crawler is packed with a lot of firepower like flamethrowers strong enough to disintegrate the Parademons.
Next up is Flying Fox, Batman’s own aircraft. The vehicle is huge enough to have its own command center with multiple floors. It would probably be a place where Justice League members would rendezvous in the movie during battle.
In terms of Batman’s new suit, it should rather be considered as a tweaked and improved tactical costume from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The armor plating has been enhanced under the grey carbon-fiber mesh weave.
Costume designer Michael Wilkinson told Cinema Blend, “One new detail is that Zack wanted a little more sense of armor and deflection on his gauntlets when he is shot at, and so I designed these [gloves] that are kind of based on the samurai. We know from Bruce Wayne’s history that he studied martial arts in Japan, so I thought that could be appropriate. But we sort of modernized it with a Wayne Tech aesthetic here. It’s a little more aggressive.”
We can expect more news on Batman’s suit from Ben Affleck himself at the San Diego Comic-con. In other news, we came across a fan art of The Flash and Superman’s initial identity after his awakening. You can check it out here.
