DC fans are still disappointed because the deleted scenes of Joker and Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad will not be likely to be released as an extended cut in Blu-ray. However, it looks like Warner Bros. is finding other ways to reveal them.
Following the box office success of Suicide Squad, Funko have started to sell toys of Joker and Harley Quinn. Surprisingly, the toys were created from scenes that weren’t released in the theatrical cut.
“Joker (Grenade Damage), Harley Quinn with Mallet” are some of the toys Funko has revealed by far. Fans can take a look at them in the image below.
Joker’s classic purple costume and hat, Batgirl, Deadshot, Batman, and more Funko toys were also unveiled. However, The Grenade Damage scene was previously revealed in a leaked image from Suicide Squad.
Fans are currently expecting Warner Bros. to release the deleted scenes in the Suicide Squad Blu-ray and DVD versions. Earlier, the studio released the director’s cut for Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, it looks like WB does not have plans to release the Ultimate Edition for David Ayer’s film.
Unlike Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad went past Warner Bros.’ expected box office earnings. Furthermore, the DCEU title broke many records set by Marvel titles in the past.
While fans consider the Ultimate Edition for Batman v Superman to have met their expectations, Suicide Squad managed to appeal to the audience with the theatrical cut, although there were a few setbacks.
While Suicide Squad’s merchandises continue to trend among fans, Ray Fisher (Cyborg) hinted the Justice League merchandise earlier this month as well.
